Production Blog: Final Scenes

Hey everyone welcome back to another blog! Today I will be talking about the final scenes my group and I filmed.

We started right where we left off with Marissa and I about to play hide and seek. This is just a bunch of different scenes of Marissa looking for me. There was one scene that was difficult to film. Peyton couldn't get the right angle in the beginning. She filmed it a couple more times so now we have multiples scenes to work with when editing.

The next few scenes were upstairs. There was one scene that was filmed in the twin's bathroom. It was supposed to look like Marissa was looking for me hiding in the shower. Peyton didn't feel super comfortable stepping into the twin's bathroom, so Mackena filmed this scene. The next scene we filmed upstairs was the scene of Marissa looking under a bed. We used Mackena's room for this since her room is right near the bathroom and it was cleaner than Marissa's room. We had to get the camera at the right angle to make sure we could fit a title there when it came to editing time. So, after we got that scene we moved on to the next.

We forgot to film an outdoor scene last time, so we filmed Marissa frantically walking around looking for me. We had to film this scene a couple times because Marissa kept laughing. Once she finally could control her laughter we got the scene.

The next two scenes were also of Marissa looking for me. In one of the scenes, she finally says, "Riley this isn't funny anymore, it's been half an hour" This shows the audience that Marissa isn't having fun anymore and is actually worried about Riley. In between the two shots we had a huge bang noise. We just threw around one of the chairs at the twins dining table. We also had a scream to announce I was in danger, so we had me scream. We might cut it out for an edited scream but were going to decide this when it gets to editing.

The next scenes were definitely the most difficult to film for me personally. So, they had me tied up in their garage to show that I was kidnapped. We weren't using the attic anymore like we originally had planned because it was too dangerous to get up there. Peyton then filmed Marissa's reaction where she had to scream really loud. That was fun to watch as her friend. The next shot was honestly such a cool shot. I got goosebumps when we watched it over. But this is the scene of Mackena coming up behind me. She is then seen holding a knife and stares into the camera saying, "Now it's your turn" GOOSEBUMPS! And that's it. We are officially done filming!

I can't wait to edit this and see the final result of our creation! see you guys in the next blog!
