Production Blog - The Finale

Hey guys and welcome back! This is my last production blog for the making of the music video. We are finally done filming. Peyton wasn't here when we had to film our last couple scenes therefore, I was the main director for the last scenes. These scenes were pretty quick and easy to film. Peyton laid out all of the scenes, so I knew exactly what to film.

Once we were done, we met up at a local Starbucks to collectively edit the final music video. The scene that I helped edit was Marissa and Connor in the locker room. This scene was a little difficult because I had to morph two separate scenes into one scene to make it look smooth. This scene was also to long for the section, so I needed to cut a part of the scene to make it fit seamlessly. I zoomed in just a little bit to make sure I got a clear image of both Connor and Marissa. We made sure to hand around the device to give everyone a chance to help edit certain scenes.

Once everyone finished editing their scenes we had to main problems. The first problem was our video was missing some flair and the other problem was our video was way too short. Initially I was panicking because we couldn't go back and film any scenes. If we went back to film more scenes the music video would not match with the storyboard. So, one suggestion that I gave to the group was to add the clip of a siren going off. We originally took this clip out because I didn't like how it looked. It did fit the following scenes. We put the scene into a new spot, and it fit better. The music video was still about 10 seconds short, so we came up with the idea to add a little montage in the beginning. Once that was added to the video, it reached the correct time we needed it to be. Once that was over, we made sure everything was good and everyone posted it on their own YouTube. I had tons of fun doing this project but I'm happy its over! I will see you guys in the CCR.
