 Title Research: Art of the Title and Watch the Titles Websites     

Hello everyone, I started my research with brief and general searches to hopefully lead me down a more informative path, to hopefully "strike gold," as they say. I started by searching how to research title sequences and came across a multitude of websites, though none seemed like they had enough information to support the amount of research needed to be done. This was until I came across two websites called Art of the Title and Watch the Titles. We are researching these websites because they provide easy access to hundreds of title sequences where we can note and research the elements of font, contrast, size, how the words are moved and where they are placed, and the duration for which they are shown. These websites are highly organized, making it extremely easy to navigate to where we need to go for effective research, without any time wasted searching through all the title sequences it has to offer to find one that is our own genre. We are further researching to understand the aspect of professionalism to treat this project as something we would be proud of putting out into the business world. Researching can also possibly inspire us to be creative and experiment with new interesting elements we may find while searching through title sequences. An added plus of the website 'Watch the Titles' that provides different insight than 'Art of the Title' is that it has quite a few interviews of professional title makers, which could provide essential and helpful information seeing as it is coming directly from an experienced and reliably qualified professional who is familiar with this work. Having access to this kind of research will allow us to create a title sequence that is the closest replication of ones in the business world because we have the opportunity to work off professional advice. Researching title sequences on these websites allows us to observe genre trends, specifically for thrillers, that meet audience expectations. Having had no previous experience with a project of this type, researching is essential to ensure we are meeting film standards and are prepared to make a creative and accurate title sequence to the best of our abilities, and having the tools provided on each of these websites will help with this endeavor.

 Hey guys and welcome back! This is my last production blog for the making of the music video. We are finally done filming. Peyton wasn't here when we had to film our last couple scenes therefore, I was the main director for the last scenes. These scenes were pretty quick and easy to film. Peyton laid out all of the scenes, so I knew exactly what to film.  Once we were done, we met up at a local Starbucks to collectively edit the final music video. The scene that I helped edit was Marissa and Connor in the locker room. This scene was a little difficult because I had to morph two separate scenes into one scene to make it look smooth. This scene was also to long for the section, so I needed to cut a part of the scene to make it fit seamlessly. Production Blog - Getting our male actor

 Hey and welcome back everyone! Today we finally have out extra actor. My group and I were able to finally start filming the scenes that include the boy. We used our friend Connor. Today I will be talking about the scenes done including Connor. But before I start talking about the filming process with Connor let's talk about how I got there. Even though I'm 16 i do not own my own vehicle. I currently share a car with my grandpa, so there are some days I have a car and some days I do not. We wanted to film on a Friday and I knew I would not have the car that day. I then asked Marissa, since she has a car if she could take me. The problem with that was Marissas car could not fit all us. So I needed to find a way to get the car so I could be able to help film with peyton and the rest of the group. Title Research: Vantage Point

 Hey everyone. Welcome back to another blog. Today I will be talking about the opening sequence of the film "Vantage Point" from 2008. I found this opening sequence on art of the tile. This film follows the same genre my group is using which is thriller! The opening sequence begins by naming the production company and who they associate with. The background is more of a dark color scheme therefore they use white for their titles. "Columbia pictures presents" and "In association with relativity media" both slide on to the screen just like a typewriter which was pretty cool and unique. The titles then slowly fade away after about five seconds. Another title that is presented is "An original film production" which has the same effect as the other titles.
